Fruitvale Station: Movie Critique

In the second unit in the Ollywood class, which is called Production, the class learned about the elements that are actually represented in a movie. Those elements include, the cinematography, lighting, actors/actresses, stage/costume design, and the different types of framing directors decide to use. For our action project the class was assigned to complete a movie critique in video form with a partner. My partner and I decided to critique the movie Fruitvale Station. A story about a young man living in Oakland with a small family, and a day that was supposed to be filled with fun, was filled with tragedy instead. Critiquing the film was enjoyable. The list provided to us was filled with good movies, so it was tough to choose. The movie was so good, that I forgot I was doing a project. At first I had a difficult time trying to create a script for the video, but once me and my partner practiced and kept going over it, everything went well. Thanks to his unit, I know now all the steps that need to be taken care of when actually producing a movie. This project also taught me how to correctly write a movie critique.

Below is the video of me and my partner discussing Fruitvale Station. Hope you enjoy!
